This is the background info for an RP called 'Secretly Angel.'

So far, the species and their info:

Angel-- a creature incapable of dying through age. It is possible to kill one by mortal means, like a physical blow or a magic attack. However, they usually keep active spells that protect them from these attacks. The usual method of killing one is by deceit or threats.
         --They do not need to eat, nor do they require air/oxygen to breathe.

STORY LINE: (if you don't want to read all of this and prefer a shorter version, scroll down ...)

The RP is not yet open.

Notes: There are demons, angels, faeries, sprites, whatever. Even half-breed beetles, if you want that... Angels are mysterious and are considered the most powerful because they 'created' the Earth. Not all angels are strong, though. No god-modeling, please. :3 The prince may be considered a 'god-model' by some, but there's a reason behind it. ^^ I promise you, it's a very good reason.

The secret of the kingdom...
Once upon a time, there was a kingdom whose royal family was revered and cherished.
The royal family members were descendents of angels, and for a time, they could use magic like their brethren in heaven.
But then the family grew corrupted because they accepted corrupt mortals into the family... and so, the kingdom began to crumble.
Then, several years after the last 'angel' descendent died, an angel came down to make a prophecy. She told the royal family that the angels would never again set foot on Earth and that the Earth would soon die from inner turmoil. There was no way to stop this, unless everyone on earth worked together in peace. There was one other way, she said, to save the earth and everyone's lives... the bloodline of the royals may be corrupt, but eventually, one person will emerge from the family as an angel, just like the ancestors. If this person could be convinced to use the power for Earth's good, the world may be saved.
So the family waited and waited, until they all but forgot about the prophecy. Good monarchs and bad monarchs each had their time to rule... but the earth was dying, no matter what anyone did.
Then one day hundreds of years from then, a prince was born to the kingdom...
Everyone compared him to the mythical 'angels' from childhood fairytales, not knowing that he really was an angel...
Until one of the older tutors in the castle found a book that had the word of the prophecy.
They decided to hide the boy in the innermost chambers of the castle, only rarely letting him out for sunlight and fresh air. No matter--he survived by making sunshine and fresh air come to him.
He lived in solitude, not knowing anything about the world.
Then, one day, the one that was supposed to leave him his food accidently left the door open. Curious, he stepped outside and discovered a world full of fascinating things.
Thieves stormed the castle, taking whatever they wanted. Grasping the oppertunity, evil people that had known of the prophecy entered the castle and looked for the prince... but found him gone.
Where was he? Where did he go? Everyone thought the beautiful secret was still hidden in the castle.
But really, it wasn't. Not anymore.

So the informed, evil people are looking for the prince...
The not-so-informed, evil people are looking for a secret item...
The informed, heroes are looking for the prince...
The not-so-informed heroes are trying to find the secret item before the evil people do.

SHORTER VERSION:

Well basically, royal family was descended from angels. Angels desert earth and leave a prophecy. Prophecy says that eventually, an angel will be born into the family ('cause now it's corrupted and stuff). Prince is born, but royal family doesn't remember prophecy. Then some dude finds a book that has the prophecy. They know the prince=angel, so they lock him up. Someone left the door open by accident, and the prince leaves. >.> Then some thieves come the next day and a bunch of bad people... They storm the castle, but the prince is gone.
Informed evil people are: looking for the prince.
Not-so-informed evil people are: looking for a secret item (from legends, but it's really the prince).
Informed good people are: looking for the prince.
Not-so informed good people are: trying to find the secret item before the evil people do.
The prince is... X3 Well, that would spoil it for you. ^^
